One of the new names added to the current Striker list linked with a move to Barcelona is Real Betis’s Loren Morón as requested by coach Quique Setien.

According to the report, the Betis striker has a release clause of €60 million but Barcelona are planning to find a loophole to sign the striker for as little as €30 million.

More from Everything Barca

The newly appointed coach Setien is well aware of Loren’s abilities, having worked with him previously and has requested the Barca board to consider him as an option, however, the club hierarchy are insisting on signing a popular and well-known candidate like Valencia’s Rodrigo Moreno or Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; or even attempt to sign Lautaro Martinez in January itself.

Loren has managed to score 10 goals in 23 appearances this season and could aid the struggling Barca attack. He, however, has no intention of leaving his current club but the mere fact that a club like Barca are requesting a transfer could influence his decision. Real Betis are also reportedly looking for potential replacements in case Loren and the club do decide to part ways.

The deal for the Betis ace has been further emphasized post the reports claiming the Rodrigo meeting has been concluded with no agreement between Valencia’s president, Anil Murthy, and the Barca bosses.

Blaugrana are reportedly going to announce a new signing by the end of the week as the transfer window ends this Friday.
