Barcelona plan raid of relegation threatened Premier League side
Barcelona are looking to do business with a rather unlikely outlet, but could be in for a treat if their targeted player signs and settles well.
Barcelona have to make a few signings in the summer and should Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal leave, they will need to prioritise on bringing in a midfielder too. Currently, they are focussing on the signing of a central defender and striker, with a right back and defensive midfielder being hunted for as well by the scouts.

Neither Rakitic nor Vidal are too happy with life at the Camp Nou and with a rebuilding Inter Milan side calling them as per claims, they both could head to Italy instead of staying at a practically vanquishing Barca squad. Quique Setien has already identified his replacement for the duo as reported by El Desmarque, in a Premier League side’s talisman.
Aston Villa superstar Jack Grealish has been the man that has been debited with interest from the Blaugrana. The 24 year old is doing a superb job under Dean Smith and has also been the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur, although a few months ago now, and Manchester United who are still actively pursuing him.
Grealish boasts some great numbers in the Premier League this season, having scored seven times and made five goals for his teammates in 23 appearances. However, his efforts have not been underwritten by the rest of the Aston Villa side, who finds itself within one place from the relegation zone, just one point above the drop.
Whether the reports are a surety remains to be seen, but what is certain is that Jack Grealish would be an incredible arrival into the Camp Nou and a fairly reasonably priced player. The Catalans have always struggled to replace Andres Iniesta’s attacking since his exit, but Grealish could change that if he settles in well and has a good squad around him.
What are your thoughts on Jack Grealish signing with the Blaugrana?
