The City Football Group’s English team Manchester City was banned from all the European club competitions by the UEFA board for the season of 2020-21 and the following 2021-22 along with a fine of 30 million euros.

The former Premier League champions were issued the ban due to the breaches made in the Financial Fair Play Regulations, although Manchester City has appealed to overturn to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to overturn the pending decision, according to the club statement issued on the Manchester City website.
