Barcelona have reportedly agreed personal terms with one of their chief targets and will definitely have made Lionel Messi happy with the news.
Barcelona are in absolute shambles right now. The Catalans by hook or by crook are on the top of La Liga’s standings, but nothing has gone as well as it should have in the season. Ernesto Valverde’s firing was the highlight, but there have been several other lows such as the spat between Messi and Abidal as well as the recent accusations against the board.

Lionel Messi bailed the team once more by scoring four in a 5-0 thumping of Eibar on Sunday evening. The Argentina international has revealed that he is unhappy with the situation at the club, but kept his cards close to his chest when asked about what the future holds for him and whether it would be at the Camp Nou.
El Desmarque is now claiming that the board is making every possible effort to keep the Little Man happy and Bartomeu’s sporting agents have now agreed personal terms with the club’s major target- Lautaro Martinez. Martinez, Inter Milan’s lethal striker has been playing wonderfully for the Serie A giants and promises to be a great successor to Luis Suarez.
According to the report, Lautaro Martinez will earn seven million euros per season in addition to bonuses and would be associated with the Blaugrana until the summer of 2025, meaning a five year deal is in store. Having said that, Inter Milan are reluctant in selling their prized asset but if Barca trigger the 111 million euros’ release clause, there’s not much that can be done.
Suarez is out for seemingly the whole season and even if he returns earlier than expected, it is difficult to think that the Uruguay international would be at the peak of his powers following months after his previous appearance. Additionally, after being surgically operated on a long-term injury at 33, not much can be expected of him anyway.
Where do you see Lautaro Martinez playing at next season?
