The former Barcelona legend has no experience in Europe as a coach and has had quite a dry spell at Al-Sadd Qatar since taking over. However, Messi and the heavyweights of the club would love to see the prodigal son of the Camp Nou return home.

Xavi could play a major role in reshaping the philosophy at Barca, as the player himself is a product of the famous La Masia. The Catalans have splurged money in the last few seasons on players that have shown no value for all the million euros that were spent. Xavi could use the La Masia academy to create a sustainable future in Barcelona rather than splurging money.
