Barcelona will need to consider different options in the summer’s transfer market after one of their targets from England could move elsewhere.

Barcelona’s goal-scoring woes are more than well documented over the recent months, and it has now come to a point where the alarm bells at the Camp Nou should start ringing. Lionel Messi also failed to turn up in the last few matches before notching four against Eibar, whereas Antoine Griezmann is also not being his usual self in his first season at the club.

More from Everything Barca

Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez continues to be the key target for the Blaugrana, but they have explored the possibility of signing somebody with a relatively cheaper price tag given the fact that they may need to spend money on re-signing Neymar as well. With that said, Alexandre Lacazette has been eyed by the Catalans and having been valued at 55 million euros, he is exactly half-priced as compared to Messi’s national teammate.

Lacazette signed up with Arsenal during the summer of 2016, checking-in from Lyon and has been offered a handsome wage at the Emirates Stadium, for which he has decently compensated with good displays. However, despite being offered a good sum of money, the Gunners are unable to make it to the Champions League and risk losing players due to that.

Alexandre Lacazette is amongst those ambitious bunch of players who will prioritize upon their career instead of money, and he is certainly keen on giving it a shot at the Champions League. Don Balon claims that it may not be with Barca though, as the player seems interested in moving to Atletico Madrid where he could play more often than the Camp Nou.

Diego Simeone does require a striker in the summer after seeing Alvaro Morata and Diego Costa underperform, so Arsenal’s frontman could be a great addition to their roster. Meanwhile, Barca will need to close-in on Lautaro Martinez’s signing as soon as they can because there will not be a shortage of suitors for the Inter man later on.
