Lionel Messi hater wants revenge against Barcelona by joining Real Madrid
Real Madrid may get their hands onto a player who seeks vindication against Barcelona and Lionel Messi during the upcoming summer’s transfer window.
Barcelona were well-beaten by Real Madrid in the El Clasico on Sunday evening. The first-half was a rather even content, but Zinedine Zidane’s side took command after the break. Vinicius Junior opened the scoring for the hosts before Mariano Diaz struck in stoppage time to compound the Catalans’ away misery and send them packing with a 2-0 loss.

While the entire team played badly and there deserves no individual blaming, goal-scoring was an issue for the visitors who had their fair share of chances. Antoine Griezmann missed a simple opportunity to put the Blaugrana in front, and Lionel Messi and Martin Braithwaite also had efforts thwarted by Thibaut Courtois, who was in-form.
Luis Suarez was profoundly missed on the field, and sadly he won’t be available until May. The Catalans will be signing a striker following the start of the summer’s transfer window, but one of their older targets in Mauro Icardi is interested in a switch to Real Madrid, who will set their sights on a goal-scoring man once again, Diario GOL has reported.
Mauro Icardi is not on good terms with Lionel Messi as is very well known by his constant omission from the Argentinian national side. The striker was a youth product of Barca’s famous La Masia academy and was deemed surplus by the club, who once again reignited interest in him later on before strongly deciding to pursue Lautaro Martinez’s transfer.
Karim Benzema had a poor night at the Santiago Bernabeu and failed to get into scoring positions, whereas Luka Jovic was not even included in the hosts’ 19-man squad for the Clasico. With that being said, Mariano Diaz did come on and almost instantly made his presence felt, but it’s really hard to see Zidane giving him the chances he deserves.
Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte has excluded the forward from his plans and hence, Icardi is now on loan at Paris Saint-Germain who are widely expected to exercise their option to buy him. However, after an explosive season at the Parc des Princes, Antonio Conte might bank on the 27 year old and more so, if Lautaro Martinez switches to greener pastures.
Do you think Mauro Icardi will switch to Real Madrid if the Whites show interest in him?
