Barcelona may be in for a double delight as another of Paris Saint-Germain’s crucial players is keen on joining the club with Neymar.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are two clubs across Europe who have very hostile relations between them with there being no hiding from that fact. The Catalans have tried to pursue several of PSG’s players illegally, including Marco Verratti and Neymar in the past which has correctly agitated the members of the French giant.

More from Everything Barca

Neymar has been thought to be pushing for a move away from the Parc des Princes since the last summer and the Brazil international’s entourage was claimed to have illegally been discussing a transfer with the Blaugrana. With that being said, the transfer is still on the cards for the upcoming summer but PSG will rinse Barca if they are serious about Neymar.

Diario GOL has claimed that besides Neymar, one of his other Paris Saint-Germain teammates would also be interested in a switch to Barcelona. The club’s captain Thiago Silva has been identified as the figure who seeks a transfer to the Camp Nou a few years after rejecting the club in order to head to the Ligue 1 from AC Milan.

Thiago Silva has been a part of Paris Saint-Germain since 2012 and has won all the French trophies on numerous occasions throughout his career. Having said that, the Brazilian’s trophy vault still misses the UEFA Champions League and he dreams of winning it with Barca and playing alongside Lionel Messi before bowing out of the game.

Silva is aged 35, but still promises to be a very good defender. However, whether Barcelona would be willing to offer a heavy transfer fee and match his wage demands remains to be seen. In addition to that, should the Blaugrana even purchase a centre-back this summer, it would be to replace Gerard Pique so hiring someone older than him makes no sense.
