Lionel Messi and Marc Andre ter Stegen have fallen out and the club captain does not care if the German international considers leaving the club.

A month ago the Barcelona’s Captain Lionel Messi had threatened the board to leave Camp Nou in the summer of 2021 if the Catalans fail to sign the players of his choice. Barca’s problems just did not end there, Marc-Andre ter Stegen also considered leaving Barca as Paris Saint-Germain were willing to offer the German international a 15 million euro per season contract that would make him the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world.

Amidst all the threats, Barcelona now faces deadlier issues after Lionel Messi and Marc-Andre ter Stegen have fallen apart which could possibly result in a transfer move for the German international.

According to Don Balon, the German international is fan favourite and pulled off a spectacular save in the El Clasico to deny Isco’s curling effort in the top corner. Several football fans around the world consider Ter Stegen to be the best keeper after his numerous heroic performances that have rescued the Catalan club on several occasions.

If the former Borussia Monchengladbach keeper does decide to leave Barca then his departure would be difficult to cover since there are barely any keepers on his level.

Don Balon claims that Leo Messi is least bother and has told the board to let the German player go if he insists on leaving. The Catalans would most probably receive nothing less than 100 million for the acrobatic keeper. Barcelona considers signing Unai Simon of Athletic Bilbao as a replacement for Ter Stegen.

The 22-year-old Athletic Bilbao keeper stands 6’4 feet tall and has already become a popular figure at the San Mames stadium. The Spanish international has the potential to become a world-class player because of maturity and personality that truly makes him stand out while considering his age as well.

Athletic Bilbao would demand a figure not exceeding over 35 million euros for their number 1.

Should Barcelona let Ter Stegen go because of an immature bust-up with Lionel Messi?
