Sarr attracted many European giants back in 2017 after a fantastic display of his talents at Metz, and even had the Catalan giants sniffing around for a potential transfer to obtain his immense potential.

The Watford winger, however, opted to remain in France with a move to Rennes. After scoring 18 goals and providing 16 assists in 77 appearances, Sarr earned himself a move to the Premier League side Watford in 2019. The 22-year-old was outstanding in Watford’s stunning victory over Liverpool.

The youngster, after the win over Liverpool, opened up about snubbing Barca on Watford’s official website,

"“When I moved to Rennes in 2017, it was a last-minute transfer. It is true that I chose Rennes over Barcelona and I made this decision because I didn’t want to go to Barcelona to just sit on the bench or play in the B level. I wanted to play, I just really wanted to play and that’s why I chose to go to Rennes.” He said"

Sarr has now managed to score 5 goals along with 4 assists in 18 appearances for the Hornets, and for a club-record fee transfer of £40 million ($52 million), he has proved to be one with a bright future.
