Barcelona are proposing an enticing swap deal for Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez which seems to have caught Antonio Conte’s attention.

Barcelona host Real Sociedad at the Camp Nou on Saturday evening. Quique Setien will hope to see his side get three much needed points in front of their own fans after two winless outings. Lionel Messi will be a doubt for the match given rumours that he has not been at full fitness and that could see the home side struggle for goals.

Antoine Griezmann will once again lead the line for Barca against his former club. The France international has not enjoyed the best of seasons since checking into the Camp Nou. In addition to that, the ex-Atletico Madrid striker’s decision-making has been widely questioned by the supporters and it could be a major reason for his drop in form.

What’s clear is the fact that Barcelona profoundly miss Luis Suarez and in their kind of system, a player of Griezmann’s style and stature may not do as well as initially thought. While the new signing has fired in a few games this year, the World Cup winner has not been able to replicate Suarez’s form especially against the bigger teams.

In order to bring in a lethal player to answer their scoring woes, Barca have shortlisted Lautaro Martinez as a potential signing. The Argentine striker is enjoying a productive season at the San Siro with Inter Milan, having scored 16 times and formed a deadly duo alongside Romelu Lukaku under Antonio Conte in the Serie A.

Don Balon has reported that the Catalans have now decided that they will pay Lautaro Martinez’s release clause of 111 million euros and sign him in the summer. However, they are hoping that their cost could be reduced by Philippe Coutinho’s involvement in the deal for which the 3-time Champions League winners seem interested.

Philippe Coutinho is enjoying a productive spell at Bayern Munich, who have an option to buy him for 120 million euros. But the Bavarian giants are evaluating further options and seem to be entrusting Serge Gnabry ahead of the former Liverpool winger. Nevertheless, the La Liga giants are hoping to cash Coutinho in for at least 80 million euros this summer.
