Barcelona has devised a new plan for the post-Lionel Messi era by signing a superstar from the Premier League.

For the last few years, Barcelona has been dependent on Lionel Messi to bail the club out during nail-biting moments. Lionel Messi and Marc Andre Ter Stegen have been nothing short of saviours for the Catalan club on numerous occasions when the other players fail to deliver.
However, the Barcelona captain is set to turn 33 at the end of the season and the Catalan club must prepare for a sustainable future by making amends in the club.

More from Everything Barca

Lionel Messi is often found casually strolling around the field and in the recent games, it seems like the Argentine forward is still recovering from his abductor injury as he was found limping on a few occasions.

If Quique Setien does consider resting Lionel Messi for the crucial games like Zidane did with Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2016/17 season which played a crucial role in their La Liga championship campaign season and Champions League victory. Barca would still suffer against weaker oppositions due to their weak squad depth and inconsistent players.

The Blaugrana have been accustomed to Lionel Messi’s dominance on the field for over a decade and it is high time that the club prepares for a post Messi period.

Don Balon claims that the post Messi period plan has been activated and the new star to set the club in the correct direction is the Egyptian king Mohammed Salah.

The Liverpool star shares a similar style of play like Barcelona’s captain and could be the player that the Catalan’s desperately need. The fact that Mo Salah has won the Champions League and that Liverpool will be named as champions of England in a matter of time, the former Chelsea man might consider a switch to Barca.

dark. Next. Xavi’s successor could be sold by Barcelona next season

The big question is whether can Mohammed Salah shine at Barcelona as his former teammate Philippe Coutinho succumbed to the pressure at Camp Nou. The Liverpool man would not be replacing any other play but one of the world’s greatest player’s ever.

Can Mohammed Salah be the solution to the post-Lionel Messi Era?
