The arrival of the comparatively younger generation in Ansumane Fati and Carles Perez has pushed Rafinha to enjoy a loan spell at Celta da Vigo.

As per Don Balon, Barcelona boss Quique Setien wants Rafinha back at the Camp Nou and finally help him find some playtime in the first team. However, it must be noted that the likes of Messi and Suarez are not too keen on making it happen.

Rafinha put up some very impressive performances earlier this year, making himself a big part of Valverde’s plans but that however, has changed in recent times.

Rafinha has been injury prone throughout his career and that hasn’t gone down too well with the management.  In simple terms, Barcelona cannot afford to count on a player who spends more time at the rehab center than playing on the field.

Rafinha is doing well in Galicia and that is the main pushing factor behind the Barcelona boss wanting the old man back. It should be mentioned that Barca goes down deep in terms of history with Rafinha as he played alongside his brother Thiago back in 2013 and his father played for the first team as well.

Rafinha brings in great deal of energy and creativity into the midfield which is what the Blaugrana need at the moment. Barring the fact that football is suspended for an undisclosed amount of time, it might be a good idea for the Brazilian to ease back into some high intensity training in order to increase his injury threshold.

Barca are lacking in quality in their attack at the moment and it will hurt them a lot once Messi decides to hang up his boots in playing for the club. For the time being, it looks like the Messi has entirely assumed the goal scoring duties to himself as the team looks overly dependent on him.
