Former Barcelona legend has offered himself to join the club once again through Lionel Messi.

A Barcelona legend, Pedro Rodriguez left the club after spending 8 long trophy-laden years in the senior team after his prominent rise in La Masia, which is the club’s youth academy.

More from Everything Barca

The 2010 World Cup winner had a mixed spell at Barca, at certain points he was a regular started along with David Villa and Lionel Messi and at some points, he was a secondary player at the team. However, the Chelsea man always carried himself in a professional level and gave his best whenever he graced the field, which helped him win the hearts of several fans all over the world.

After spending 8 long years at his boyhood club, Pedro Rodriguez like many other footballers dreamt of playing in England and decided to sign for the Blues in 2015.

The Spaniard received a heartwarming farewell by his beloved club and left the club with tears in his eyes along with several memories of his trophy-laden spell at the club. Pedro left Barca as La Liga winner, World Cup winner and European Champion with both club and country.

The 32-year old has had a decent spell at the Stamford Bridge and has collected a few more trophies such as the Premier League, FA Cup, and the Europa League. Under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, the former Blaugrana was a crucial player in the team, unfortunately, he lost his place in the squad after Maurizio Sarri took over Chelsea as head coach.

This season under Frank Lampard, the Spaniard has barely had any game time and has managed to score two goals and three assists. Frank Lampard has no intention of renewing his contract which runs out on the 30th of June.

Don Balon claims that the soon to be 33-year-old Spaniard has offered himself to Barca through his close friends Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique.
