Premier League quartet enquire about Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho
Bayern Munich loanee Philippe Coutinho is wanted by Premier League giants after reports of Barcelona’s intentions of a possible sale surfaced.
Philippe Coutinho, who is currently loaned at the Bavarian side, after struggling to reenact his Liverpool days, has looked a shadow of his former self. The Brazilian’s latest hopes of remaining with the Bundesliga side have been dismissed after Bayern showed resentment to paying the player’s excessively high buyout clause.

Mirror reports that the midfielder has turned his focus on making a return to Premier League, which has sparked interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal. The four sides have enquired about the availability of the attacking midfielder with intentions of making an official bid during the summer transfer window.
The struggling star admits that he should have never left Anfield as he has hindered his career ever since he made his record move to Barca in 2018. The 27-year-old failed to make an impact at the Nou Camp, resulting in Cules turning against him after his underwhelming performances.
Philippe has been enjoying in Bundesliga since his loan move last summer when the Bavarian club paid £7 million fees to the Catalans with a wage agreement of £240,000/week. The two sides also agreed on a £100 million transfer fee if Bayern wanted to make the move permanent.
Once regarded as a firm favorite of his former coach, Jurgen Klopp, the Brazilian’s dream of returning to Anfield will not become reality as the manager showed no interest in bringing his former star back.
Daily Mail reported that Coutinho could make a shock return to his former club, Inter Milan, on a two-year deal where he would be used in a swap deal for Lautaro Martinez.
Coutinho, however, remains focused on making a Premier League move this summer which would most likely be a loan move as none of the interested clubs have displayed any intentions of paying the Brazilian’s exorbitant transfer fee.
Barca will mostly have to reduce their price tag if they hope to make a sale for the struggling midfielder as they look to bring Neymar and Lautaro Martinez in the upcoming season.
