Getafe have used their purchase option on Barcelona midfielder, Marc Cucurella, amid interests from European clubs like Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Monchengladbach and Napoli.
Marca reports that Barcelona will no longer have the option to get Marc Cucurella back from his loan spell as they did during his previous endeavors with Eibar; who had previously signed the prospect at the end of his loan spell but the Catalan giants had re-signed him immediately.

This, however, would no longer be possible as Getafe have activated the €6 million buyout option to sign the 21-year-old. Cucurella will be sold to the Spanish side for €6mn this summer, at which point his buyout clause would push to roughly €25 million (40% goes to Barca).
Sport had reported Marc’s criticism for Blaugrana for not providing the youngster with ample opportunities to prove his talents, this comment had further hindered any possibility of his return to the Nou Camp.
"“I think that at Barca, which is a big club, the important thing is to win in the end, maybe they don’t have the patience that they [once] had. As a cantera [youth academy] player, which I am, they don’t give you the chances you deserve.“I don’t like it because I expected they would be more confident in the [youth academy] cantera. In football, the important thing is to win. Winning is more important than having patience.” Cucurella said.Source"
This transfer will be a steal for Getafe given the interest Cucurella has sparked this season. The Azulones would surely make a profitable sale this summer, but they have not yet ruled out the option of keeping the talented midfielder.
Goal reports that Chelsea are keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old, however, Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell and Porto’s Alex Telles are reportedly higher on priority.
