Barcelona has devised a masterplan to sign one of the best future prospects from their arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Achraf Hakimi has dazzled the world with his performances this season in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League. The former Real Madrid player was sent on a two-year loan to Borussia Dortmund after his debut season with the senior squad at Real Madrid. However, it seems like Barcelona have devised a masterplan to sign their arch-rivals future star, according to Don Balon.

Borussia Dortmund is hell-bent on the Moroccan to stay next season either on loan or on a permanent deal. The German club is also prepared to pay Real Madrid a fine sum for their Moroccan right back.

Borussia Dortmund is not the only club that wants to procure the services of Achraf Hakimi. Frank Lampard’s Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and arch-rivals Bayern Munich are prepared to contest for the player. However, Real Madrid has already spoken to the player and that he must return immediately this summer.

Achraf Hakimi has told Real Madrid that he will only return if they guarantee him a role as a starter, otherwise, he would prefer to be put on the transfer list. The Moroccan has informed the club that his contract expires in 2021 but Florentino Perez on the contrary, states that his contract does not expire until 2023.

If this confusion between Real Madrid and Achraf Hakimi’s future is true, then the versatile fullback would be available as a free agent in just a year’s time. Barcelona would have the golden opportunity to cash in on the player this summer before his contract expires.

The Catalan club is desperately in need of a right-back and Achraf Hakimi could be the one. The 21-year-old is already the fastest player in the history of Bundesliga after he clocked in a top speed of 36.20 km/hr. He has also managed to score 3 goals and provide 10 assists in 25 Bundesliga games.

Josep Maria Bartomeu can finally take revenge after Real Madrid signed Takefusa Kubo who was a long term target of the Catalan club.
