The issues at Camp Nou keep mounting up with every passing day. Several players want out as soon as possible, some of the heavyweights at the club no longer trust the board and Quique Setien faces an uncertain future at the club as many integral members have lost their confidence in the former Real Betis manager.
Despite all the issues, the office at Camp Nou still continues to work on the possibility of improving the budget to successfully land the awaited players that the club had previously planned for the coming summer.
Quique Setien’s first priority is to strengthen the left flank that has been extremely inconsistent this season. Barcelona has considered to either bid goodbye to Jordi Alba or Junior Firpo next season, however, the dismissal of Jordi Alba seems highly unlikely since the Spaniard has a close relationship with Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique.
Paris Saint-Germain’s free agent Kurzawa was considered as one of the ideal options to take over the left-back position, however, the board now considers to bid for Real Madrid’s former left-back Theo Hernandez.
The former Real Madrid ace has had a stellar season so far at the San Siro, the French defender has managed to score 5 goals and provide 2 assists so far in the Serie A. Don Balon claims that Bartomeu and his team prefer the former Madrid man since he is younger than Kurzawa and has shown tremendous potential.
Theo Hernandez could benefit Barcelona when they attack since his physical presence and his ability to make quick overlapping or inverted runs down the wing would provide the club with several options to attack from. The French defender has created 29 chances and has even provided 27 key passes in 22 games in the Serie A.
Barca is prepared to offer Ac Milan 40 million euros for Theo Hernandez. The price that Ac Milan demands is comparatively quite low in today’s inflated market for a player of that quality.
The burden is now on the shoulders of the former Real Madrid player if he is willing to betray his club and sign for Barcelona.
