Lautaro Martinez may not be unveiled as a Barcelona player next season at the Camp Nou as the player and his agent do not trust the board that is run by Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Lautaro Martinez was the prime target for the upcoming summer transfer market for Barcelona. Neymar Junior and Lautaro Martinez were both tipped to the major signings for Barcelona, however, the San Siro striker would be a more sensible signing for the club to ensure a stable future.

More from Everything Barca

The San Siro striker has shown tremendous potential at his age and has already been tipped by several pundits to be the next best striker on the planet. Inter Milan was prepared to let their Argentine striker leave for 111 million euros.

Barcelona is not the only club that wants to trigger 111 million euro release clause for the player, Real Madrid has also considered signing the Argentine, but the sudden rise of Erling Haland in Dortmund has caught the attention of the Los Blancos.

Lautaro Martinez may also have an uncertain future next season at the San Siro as Antonio Conte would have three strikers at his disposal, Romelu Lukaku, Mauro Icardi and the Argentine himself.

Barcelona could be the ideal destination for the young striker and he has publicly stated that it has been his childhood dream to play with Lionel Messi in the same club. The Camp Nou would be waiting for its next superstar.

However, Don Balon claims that neither Lautaro Martinez and his agent do not completely trust the Catalan club’s president Josep Maria Bartomeu. The 22-year-old striker fails to understand the current direction in which Barca is heading towards under their current management.

Currently, the striker wants to wait and see how the situation at Barca pans out by the end of the season before he takes a drastic decision. The Inter Milan certainly does not want to make a premature decision without fully understanding where the club would be heading.

Another issue is that the player’s agent is not fond of the fact that the board has a strained relationship with several players in the dressing room. Lautaro Martinez would not want to hamper his growth and his career by signing for a reputable club that has poor management skills.
