Lionel Messi‘s dream of Barcelona signing Neymar and Lautaro Martinez has been destroyed by two major signings of Barca since their market value has depreciated  massively

It was Lionel Messi’s dream that Barcelona would sign both Neymar and Lautaro Martinez in the coming summer transfer market, however, given the current economic crisis at the club and the internal disputes between the board members it is highly unlikely that the club would be able to sign the pair.

More from Everything Barca

Josep Maria Bartomeu’s positions as president of the club are under scrutiny, as six board members resigned from their respective positions as they dissatisfied by the way the president is leading the club and that the board was forced to deny that an ethical hacking firm was not hired in February.

The president of Barca will do everything possible to try please Lionel Messi at the club since the captain along with Gerard Pique has been the most vocal player to the press regarding the current internal situation at the club.

To please Lionel Messi, the president has put several players on the transfer list including two superstars Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho.

Both the footballers were signed after Neymar Junior left Barca for a world-record transfer worth 222 million euros. The Catalan club spent 260 million euros to sign Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho, apart from costing 38 million euros more, both the players have been nothing short of disappointments for the club.

Josep Maria Bartomeu hopes to recover at least 150 million euros combined from the sale of both the players, however, Don Balon claims that the club would only receive 120 million euros for the sale of both the players.

The drop in the market value of both the players has disrupted Barcelona’s transfer market operations. The signing of either Neymar or Lautaro Martinez now seems highly unlikely.
