Barcelona could opt to sign the duo of Ruben Neves and Giovani Lo Celso to renew their midfield.

Ruben Neves is a central midfielder who is known for his ability to produce key passes for his side which lead to counter-attacking possibilities as well as his capacity to provide defensive support as in when his team is in trouble. The 22-year-old signed for Wolves from Porto in 2017. In his first season for the club, he helped them win the EFL Championship title which promoted them to play in the Premier League in the following season. Neves has been spectacular in the Premier League helping them play in the Europa League this season. His estimated value should be around 40 million euros.

Giovani Lo Celso is a central attacking midfielder who is known for his electric dribbling and passing abilities. The 24-year-old impressed the world by providing outstanding performances for Real Betis on a consistent basis in the 2018-2019 season. Tottenham were eager to have the Argentinian on board and managed to secure him via a loan deal in the 2019-2020 season. Lo Celso hasn’t been able to shine in the Premier League due to a hip injury but has shown signs of maturing into a wonderful player. Spurs have been impressed and have a deal to sign the midfielder for 32 million euros in the summer transfer window.

Barca has an experienced midfield which consists of players such as Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal who are reaching the end of their competitive years as footballers.

The Spanish giants must sign more younger players like they have in the shape Frenkie de Jong and Arthur Melo to attain a more stable future.

Do you think Barcelona should sign these midfielders over the next few transfer windows?
