The Neymar transfer saga for Barcelona takes a new turn as Paris Saint-Germain is set to offer its Brazilian an irresistible contract extension.

Paris Saint Germain plan on making the most out of the current pandemic that he put most clubs in a tight space financially. However, unlike other clubs, the Parisian based club are still well to do amidst the pandemic as they enjoy greater financial power than most of the elite clubs in world football do. The Parisian club has also devised a cunning plan to wave off the interest shown by Barcelona to sign Neymar given their current poor financial backing.

More from Everything Barca

El Desmarque claims that PSG is not willing to reduce their price for their most expensive signing ever, Barca would have to pay over 200 million euros if they want to procure the services of the Brazilian winger and the PSG is well aware that the Catalan club lacks the financial resources to do so.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi is willing to offer the former Barca winger a new contract that would extend until June 2025 and the avaricious winger would be paid 38 million euros per year for his services. The Brazilian’s current contract ends in June 2022 and Paris Saint-Germain have decided to act early to wave off all potential suitors that are interested in Neymar Junior.

Barcelona would possibly lose out on signing Neymar Junior once again if the Brazilian considers the offer that Nasser Al-Khelaifi has put on the table. However, given the fact that Neymar and his father who is also his agent share a common passion for money, it would not be surprising if the Brazilian accepts the lucrative contract extension.

PSG would also hope to do the same for Kylian Mbappe, the French international is Real Madrid favorite and Florentino Perez cannot wait to secure the services of the French forward. The Parisian club would have a stronger wage budget next season as Edinson Cavani and Mauro Icardi would be leaving the city of France, it would be tactically wise for PSG to use their wage budget wisely by offering Kylian Mbappe a revised contract renewal offer.

Barcelona is now in a tight space as neither do they have the millions to sign Neymar nor would they be able to sign him in the near future given the current offer he has on the table.
