The outcast of Barcelona has spoken candidly on his future at Barcelona while on an interview with ESPN.

The current state at Barcelona is that of a sinking ship, with six board members resigning and several players calling for early elections, it seems like the club is in a major state of crisis.

Not only is the Catalan club’s management falling apart, but the financial matters at the club has also gotten worse over the last month or so due to the suspension of all major competitions. The dispute regarding the wage cut amongst the board and the players has destroyed the atmosphere in the dressing room and a few players already want out.

However, Martin Braithwaite remains optimistic as he hopes to stay on in Barcelona until June 2024 when his contract runs out. The Danish striker was signed in February as an emergency signing that was permitted by the La Liga officials after Barca lost out Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele.

Martin Braithwaite was the top scorer of Leganes before the Catalan club signed the Danish forward for almost 20 million euros. The player signed a four-and-a-half-year contract that would keep him at the Camp Nou till June 2024.

The former Leganes striker is aware that his future at the Camp Nou is non-existent as Luis Suarez is on the final stage of his road to recovery from his recent major surgery and Ousmane Dembele will be fully recovered by the start of the 2020-21 season. To make matters worse, Barca has also considered signing Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan in the coming summer which would technically rule out all the possible game time for the Danish forward.

Eldesmarquee claims that the striker is still optimistic and believes that he will succeed at Barca. While on an interview with ESPN, the forward stated that he will continue for the next fours year at Camp Nou and he simply wants to enjoy his time at Barca by winning titles with the great set of players he trains with. He went on to say that his goal is to be part of the best generation of Barcelona as well.
