Barcelona might have lost an opportunity to sign one of the best strikers in the world.

The Spanish giants are going through a financial crisis which has been caused due to the coronavirus. This crisis might make it impossible for Barca to afford the offensive signings off Lautaro Martinez or Neymar. The club must try to sign cheaper alternatives for the duo.

Pep Guardiola is on the verge of stealing one of Barcelona’s alternative transfer target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The 2018-2019 Premier League Golden Boot winner is desperate to leave Arsenal and join a bigger European club.

Aubameyang wants to play for a club which can give him the opportunity to compete for trophies regularly which the Gunners have failed to achieve. According to the Donbalon, Pep Guardiola has been negotiating a transfer with the Gabonese international. In these negotiations, Pep has promised the striker that he will play a crucial role in Manchester City as well as receive a large salary for his performances.

Aubameyang has always shown interest to play in the La Liga and was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona. Even though the striker has been in great form this season scoring 20 goals across all competitions the management of Barca hasn’t taken the striker seriously and doubted his ability. This display by the management of the Spanish giants could have agitated Aubameyang who might reject any future move to the Camp Nou.

The Gabonese striker has an estimated value of around 60 million Euros and is heavily linked with a transfer to other teams such as Inter Milan and Manchester United. Aubameyang is still deciding which club he would like to sign for in the upcoming transfer window.

Does Aubameyang look like an attractive option for the Blaugrana to pursue?
