Juventus looking to revitalize their midfield with Barcelona’s Arthur Melo.

Barcelona only have a few players who they consider untouchable. They are Lionel Messi, Frenkie de Jong and Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Anyone else is fair game.

So it should be no surprise that other clubs should come calling to see if there are deals to be made with the rest of the players.

More from Everything Barca

According to Mundo Deportivo, Juventus have come knocking again only this time it’s for the Brazilian, Arthur.

The Catalan side value Arthur very highly and would only let him leave for a significant Arthur. Juventus are hoping to include players in a potential transaction to sweeten the deal.

Some of those names include Rodrigo Bentancur, Federico Bernardeschi, Mattia de Sciglio and Merih Demiral.

Bernardeschi had been linked with Barcelona before as a possible trade between the two sides that would have seen Ivan Rakitic head the other way.

De Sciglio is also an interesting prospect as he is a fullback who can play on either side of defense. With rumors that the club are considering selling Nelson Semedo and Junior Firpo, he would be able to provide cover in their absence.

Demiral is a young center-back who is currently injured but he’s not the defender the club would want. They are still interested in Matthijs de Ligt who Juventus are unlikely to give up.

Arthur had been linked with Inter Milan, another Serie A side, but he made it known that while he was flattered by their interests, he is committed to staying and succeeding at Barcelona.

He’s also informed Barcelona directly that he has no desire to leave and isn’t interested in hearing any offers. For what it’s worth, the club’s preference is for him to stay.

Arthur is set to turn 24 this year and he has yet to reach his prime. He’s suffered a few injuries this season that have limited his appearances. He still has plenty to offer and has the potential to be a stalwart in the Barcelona midfield.
