Although the Catalan club is short on funds to actually carry out the proposed revamp to build a winning project that was promised to Lionel Messi ages ago, the office at the Camp Nou remains optimistic about the return of Neymar Junior.
The Brazilian who plays an important role in the return of the former Santos forward is Porto’s, Alex Telles. The Brazilian has spent 4 years in Portugal and has shown his quality every season without fail, however, like every other player, the Porto full-back dreams of playing in Spain as well and has already offered himself to Barcelona where he hopes to achieve his dreams.
Porto has asked a reported sum worth 45 million euros for their Brazilian full-back, a price that Josep Maria Bartomeu considers too steep, however, the Catalan president is willing to pay 200 million euros for Neymar Junior. The president considers that an additional 35 million euros after spending 200 million euros is not necessary at all.
It is ironic how the board is obsessed over signing Neymar when they already have Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann, Lionel Messi, Martin Braithwaite, Ansu Fati, and Luis Suarez up front. The Catalan club is in a desperate need to reinforce their defensive line and an addition like Alex Telles would be beneficial since the Brazilian can contribute in attack and defense equally well.
Since Barca has turned down Porto’s offer, the Brazilian has offered himself to Paris Saint Germain. The Parisians are delighted with the interest shown by the full-back who has scored 8 goals and 5 assists in the Portuguese top-flight division.
PSG is on the look for a replacement for Layvin Kurzawa who is set to leave the club as a free agent in the coming summer since his contract expires in the coming few months.
Alex Telles could possibly end up at Paris and Neymar Junior could finally have his reunion with Lionel Messi in Barcelona.
