In order to be more financially stable, Barcelona has decided that leaving Lionel Messi, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Frenkie de Jong the rest of the squad could possibly leave the Camp Nou in the upcoming transfer window.
Many big European clubs have seen this as a great opportunity to strengthen their squads. Players such as Arturo Vidal, Junior Firpo, Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti and Arthur Melo have been in negotiations with moves away from Barcelona.
Juventus appear to have shown interest to sign a player from the Spanish giants. According to the Don Balon, the 2018-2019 Serie A champions have decided to go for Sergi Roberto.
Sergi Roberto is an extremely versatile player who can play as a right-back as well as a central midfielder. Over the past few years, the Spaniard has shown consistency in his performances and portrayed signs of maintaining himself as a brilliant player. The 28-year-old defender has a market value of around 45 million euros.
Barca might consider allowing Roberto to leave the Camp Nou. This is because the Spanish giants have Nelson Semedo who provides the club with similar value defensively. Moreover, Barca could use the cash from the transfer to find a replacement for Samuel Umtiti is bound to leave the club.
However, as it stands Roberto has shown no intentions to leave Lionel Messi in Barca and join Cristiano Ronaldo in Juventus in the upcoming transfer window.
Do you think Sergi Roberto would leave the club in the upcoming transfer window?
