The board at Barcelona rejoice as they have received two hefty offers from the Premier League for their flop signing Ousmane Dembele.

The board at Barcelona under Josep Maria Bartomeu has been an embarrassment in the transfer market during the last few seasons. The president has made several signings and most of them have flopped, however, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele top the list as the worst ever signings in the club’s history.

More from Everything Barca

Barca had paid a combined figure of approximately 290 million euros for Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, unfortunately, both the promising talents have not lived up to the expectations nor the price tag.

At the office in Camp Nou, Barca are desperate to get rid of either one of the two major flop signings, the club prefers to let Ousmane Dembele go since the player has struggled with serious injuries ever since he signed his contract with Barcelona.

Philippe Coutinho has still shown some signs of improvement in Germany as he is on a season-long loan with Bayern Munich. In the French forwards case, there have been no signs of improvement and the club has grown tired with former Borussia Dortmund man.

Don Balon claims that although the French international is valued at 56 million euros on the transfer market, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are willing to pay up to 100 million euros for Ousmane Dembele.

At Barcelona they rejoice, an offer that they cannot turn down at any cost since it would help them financially in signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain, the Brazilian is currently valued at 164 million euros.

Although Chelsea and Tottenham would be foolish to offer 100 million euros for an inconsistent and injury-prone forward, the board at Barca cannot be any happier.

If Ousmane Dembele does leave for 100 million euros to the Premier League and if the Catalan’s manage to sell Philippe Coutinho for 80 million or so, the financial burden on the shoulder of the board would reduce and the possibility of Neymar’s return would seem more likely.
