The Barcelona board being led by Josep Maria Bartomeu has considered preparing another irrational signing which also may go down as the worst signing of the new decade.

At Barca, the board has a vivid picture of having a front line including Lautaro Martinez, Neymar, and Lionel Messi, however, the signing of either the two superstars seems highly unlikely and the club has looked into signing short term alternatives instead until they have the financial power to make the big move.

More from Everything Barca

Neymar of Paris Saint Germain is the focal point of the transfer agenda for the upcoming summer transfer window, however, the Parisian club will not accept a figure below 200 million euros for their Brazilian, and neither can the Catalans afford to break their bank once again. Ironically, the board is willing to let to sell over 5 players just for the return of Neymar that does not seem necessary as the Catalan team should focus on building the defence and midfield instead.

As Barcelona plans to blow 200 million on Neymar Jr, the 111 million release clause seems impossible for Barca to exercise. The club has considered a few alternatives instead such as Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Timo Werner, and shockingly Alexis Sanchez has also made the list and Lionel Messi is in shock, according to Don Balon.

The former Barcelona man was devastating to opposition teams under Pep Guardiola and his switch to Arsenal was also successful, as the South American managed to score 80 goals for the north London club.

However, his transfer to Manchester United was a turning point in his career, the Chilean was never the same clinical player he once was at the Emirates or the Camp Nou, as he only scored 5 goals for the Red Devils.

His form dipped in such a poor manner that Manchester United had to send him on a season-long loan to Inter Milan and now the former Barca player’s market value is 15 million dollars.

Josep Maria Bartomeu still considers the player to be world-class despite his poor statistics ever since he left Arsenal and his low market value makes him all the more attractive to the Barcelona board.

If Barcelona actually does consider signing Alexis Sanchez then it would the most hysterical signing of the club’s history.
