David Beckham is in a stage where he’s establishing Inter Miami and hence, he has been scouting for players and has identified two from Barcelona who he would like to sign.
According to the Don Balon, The two players who have made David Beckham’s list are Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal.
Barcelona has shown signs that they aren’t interested in the midfielders and are willing to allow the duo to move away from the Camp Nou. The Spanish giants are planning on building a younger squad to secure a better future, so having players such as Rakitic and Vidal doesn’t align with the club’s ideology.
This is because both of the experienced midfielders are in their 30s and have certainly passed their peak. One is yet to see how the midfielders feel about joining the MLS as that would mean that they wouldn’t be playing Champions League football in possibly their last years as a footballer.
The Blaugrana could utilise the funds from their transfer to try and fulfil Lionel Messi‘s demands of signing Neymar or Lautaro Martinez in the upcoming transfer window.
However, Barca could take a more practical approach and spend their transfer budget on signing a world-class defender. This is more practical as the club needs to find replacements for Junior Firpo and Samuel Umtiti who are on the verge of leaving the Camp Nou.
Do you think Vidal or Rakitic will be interested to join Beckham in Inter Miami?
