The Brazilian is flattered by the outside interest, but has no desire to leave Barcelona.

The persistent rumors surrounding Arthur Melo and  a possible exit away from Barcelona continue. In fact, it seems like everyday there are reports that a move is getting closer.

Juventus are said to be the team making the hardest push for the midfielder with Barça contemplating a deal that could potentially include a Juventus player coming the other way.

But through it all, Arthur has continually stated that he does not want to leave and is only focused on Barcelona. He came out and did so in a new interview.

"“There is always going to be speculation but genuinely my idea is very clear. The only option that interests me is staying at Barcelona. I’m very calm and certain. I find myself very well here and I’m appreciative of the confidence shown to me by the club and the coaching staff.”Source: Mundo Deportivo"

Earlier interest from Juventus towards Arthur had a list of possible players the Italian giants would be willing to include in a deal.

Barca are only going to sell Arthur if they find a deal that convinces them as well as the player. It is very evident that Arthur wants to stay but he is a player the club can get a lot of money out if they choose to go that route.

The only problem with that is it creates a gap in midfield that other teams know you need to fill. If they only get a transfer fee, they’re then going to have to go out and spend that money on a replacement.

Which means whoever that player winds up being is not only going to cost them, he’ll also need time to integrate himself to the team and playing time and as we’ve seen with other players, it takes quite a bit of time to embed yourself at Barcelona.

Arthur’s sentiment at staying may ultimately put the brakes on any talks between Barcelona and interested clubs. The Catalans have said that they’ll take his opinion into consideration. It’s now the second time he’s come out and said he wants to stay. But, undoubtedly, these rumors will continue.
