Barcelona and Real Madrid are set to be handed a major blow as Spain’s most talented youngster has opted to join Liverpool.
Barcelona are set to follow the footsteps of their arch rivals Real Madrid and create a younger squad with players of high potential. In a bid to do so, the Catalans have already signed the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Arthur Melo and have Ansu Fati on their roster too. They are looking for more additions over the next few months.

One of the players shortlisted by Barcelona is youngster Ferran Torres. The right winger has been on the books of Valencia, and is widely considered to be one of the most talented players of his age across Spain. The right winger promises to develop into a world-class player, having already become a regular for Los Che and is wanted by bigger clubs.
Apart from Barcelona, Liverpool and Real Madrid are also thought to be in the running for the 20 year old. Liverpool are also looking to make signings for their future and an increased squad depth for the time being, so therefore, Ferran Torres is a great option. On the other hand, Real Madrid’s right wingers in Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez have both been slow, thus, the Whites too are going to invest and strengthen one of their flanks.
Don Balon has reported that Ferran Torres has made a decision of snubbing the two Spanish giants and joining Liverpool instead. The winger feels that he will develop best under Jurgen Klopp, and perhaps rightly so because the former Borussia Dortmund manager demands speed and precision that Torres already possesses.
Moreover, Klopp has given opportunities to the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harvey Elliott, thus, developing them into great players. On the other hand, Barca’s Quique Setien has not been able to get the best out of his younger crop, most primarily Ansu Fati, and Zidane too is reluctant in giving chances to most juniors such as Rodrygo and Brahim Diaz.
Ferran Torres sees an opportunity to get minutes in abundance at the Anfield, but besides that he is of the opinion that the Reds will continue to contend for the major trophies in the years to come. Barcelona may not be able to do either, play him or compete in Europe, whereas Real Madrid could get back to winning ways, but without playing the Spaniard.
Do you think Barca should guarantee Ferran Torres playing time as part of his contract and try signing him?
