Barcelona is tipped as favourites to land Timo Werner next season after Liverpool have pulled out from the operation due to financial strains.
Sergio Aguero recently confirmed that Lionel Messi would continue at Barcelona next season while on a live stream video game session in Manchester as earlier reported, however, the good news from England does not stop pouring in at Barcelona as Don Balon claims that the Catalan team have the golden opportunity to sign Timo Werner after Liverpool pulled out from the operation.

The current Premier League leaders turned down the opportunity to land Timo Werner due to the current pandemic that has vastly affected the Reds transfer budget for the upcoming transfer window, the report also states that most probably Jurgen Klopp will not make any signings in the coming season as well.
Barcelona now has the green light to pounce on the opportunity to sign the established German striker after Liverpool were deemed favorites to sign the player and are no longer in the race to procure the services of Timo Werner.
It is well known that Josep Maria Bartomeu desperately wants to land Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, however, Inter Milan demand an outrageous deal for their Argentine striker that includes 90 million euros in cash along with Arturo Vidal on a permanent move and Antoine Griezmann on a season-long deal.
It would be foolish for Bartomeu to offer such a deal for a striker that has had only one exceptional season. Meanwhile, the board at the Catalan club have considered Timo Werner who is valued around 70 million in the transfer market and has been consistent for both club and country for quite a few seasons.
Until a few weeks ago there were rumours that the German striker would sign for Bayern Munich instead if the Liverpool move fails, however, Timo Werner himself has assured the public that his ulterior motive for a transfer is to leave Germany and play abroad, making the Camp Nou a favourable destination.
The Blaugrana have kept the operation on halt and have not yet made an official offer as of yet, the Catalan club considers offering Samuel Umtiti to RB Leipzig as part of the deal to reduce the value of the striker, Dayot Upamecano is most likely set to leave Germany and Barca would offer their French centre back instead as a replacement.
The Catalans must act soon before Real Madrid or Manchester City swoop the player of Barcelona’s radar, as both the clubs are in a dire need of a first-choice striker.
