Barcelona loses out yet on another a world-class signing to Real Madrid as the Whites have beaten the Catalans and Manchester United to sign the Borussia Dortmund man.

The Los Blancos have been relentlessly pursuing Kylian Mbappe to leave Paris Saint-Germain for the Santiago Bernabeu, however, the situation with the 2018 World Cup winner has taken a sharp turn and Real Madrid have acted immediately to counter the prevailing issue and cause mayhem at Barcelona.

More from Everything Barca

The board at Barca had recently called off  Neymar’s return from Paris Saint-Germain after the Brazilian left the Camp Nou for the city of Paris in 2017 for a world record fee amounting to 222 million euros. The Catalan club decided to sign Ousmane Dembele as a potential replacement to fill in the role of a winger that Neymar had left behind, however, the French forward has failed to perform at his best due to the several injuries that have hindered his career at Barcelona.

With Ousmane Dembele spending most of his time injured and the return of Neymar being too expensive, Eric Abidal added Jadon Sancho to the agenda as a potentially cheaper younger alternative to Neymar.

However, Real Madrid has decided to go all out for Jadon Sancho as they require an immediate backup for Gareth Bale who might be on his way out next season if there are any offers that Jonatan Barnett and Gareth Bale agree to.

Kylian Mbappe was the player on the list as the player can play on the wing and even as a striker, however, Don Balon claims that the French forward has considered staying at Paris till his contract until 2022 when it expires, as the forward fears being treated harshly by the fans of Paris Saint-Germain who idolize the player as the figure of a god.

Florentino Perez is aware of the situation in France and is prepared to offer Zinedine Zidane the Englishman he wanted last year. Jadon Sancho has hit the ground running in the Bundesliga for the last two seasons and was the only player along with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi to have double digits in goals and assists in Europe last season.

Manchester United also wanted the player and the Red Devils were heavily linked with a possible transfer of the English winger last season and even in the upcoming transfer season, however, Florentino Perez has changed the entire situation around by offering 100 million euros and swooping the player off the radars of Barcelona, Manchester United and Frank Lampard’s Chelsea who were all in the race for the Bundesliga man.

Like Luka Jovic, Jadon Sancho is the next modern forward that Barcelona has lost out to Real Madrid. Bartomeu and his team would have to act soon if they still have plans to replace Ousmane Dembele or they could give the French forward another shot.
