Arturo Vidal has a contract to stay at the Camp Nou till the summer of 2021. The current La Liga leaders have decided against extending his contract as the Chilean international is 32 years old and has a few years of football left with him before he retires. He has a current market value of around 20 million euros and according to the Don Balon, teams such as Inter Milan, Newcastle United, Juventus and Inter Miami have plans to sign Vidal.
David Beckham is eager to sign the former Bayern Munich midfielder in the upcoming transfer window to strengthen his team Inter Miami CF who play in the MLS. The American club has been in talks with Vidal’s representatives and have offered the player a large sum of money, thereby promising him a crucial role in the center of the team. Despite all the attention and money, the 32 year old might reject Beckham’s offer to play in the MLS as he would miss out on playing Champions League football which is a big deal breaker for him.
Barca must try and construct a deal in which Vidal gets sold for a minimum of 40 million euros because selling him for that price will give the Spanish giants a boost to sign a world-class defender in place of Samuel Umtiti who is set leave the club with a huge void to fill.
The current La Liga champions, can also try and include Vidal along with other players as part of their ongoing negotiations for Lautaro Martinez who has a release clause of 111 million euros.
