The German goalkeeper of Barcelona has finally spoken about his future at the Camp Nou which seemed uncertain for several months.
Over the past few months, the speculation over Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s future at Barcelona has grown and has become the centre of attention of all media outlets, the German international decided to finally open up about his future at the Camp Nou while on an Instagram live session with his former Bundesliga team, Borussia Monchengladbach.

The former Bundesliga man’s contract with Barcelona runs out in 2022 and the player has expressed his disappointment about being underpaid, shockingly the goalkeeper does not even make it into the top 5 best-paid players at the Catalan team even after putting in match-saving performances week in and week out.
There were rumours that Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus were willing to offer the German goalkeeper a lucrative contract, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain were willing to offer the player 15 million euros a season making the German the best-paid goalkeeper.
However, all the rumours about Marc-Andre ter Stegen leaving Barcelona due to his strained relationship with Josep Maria Bartomeu and Lionel Messi have been put to rest, as El Desmarque claims that the German goalkeeper while on an Instagram live session with Borussia Monchengladbach, the 28-year-old player stated that he is very happy in Barca and that the club is in perfect condition.
The goalkeeper also confirmed that a possible contract renewal is on the cards and that the player will continue his heroic performances in goal at the Camp Nou.
On the Instagram live session, ter Stegen also discussed how the players are working every day to achieve the optimal matchday conditioning that is required to play professional football and that the club’s fitness department sends all the Barca players workout regimes to follow daily.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen himself has confirmed that he will continue at Barcelona and that a contract renewal is being planned as well, however, the future of Neto seems still to be uncertain. The Brazilian international felt massively let down as he has received just one start as Barcelona player since he signed in the summer of 2019.
The Catalans have looked at possible backups if Neto has to leave, the players on the agenda as a replacement keeper are Unai Simon, Ajax’s Andre Onana and Kepa Arrizabalaga
