Barcelona finally seeks revenge from Real Madrid after one of the Spanish league’s most promising wingers opted for Barca over Real Madrid.
As earlier reported, Real Madrid had beaten Barcelona to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund after offering the Bundesliga side 100 million euros for their English winger. However, the Catalans can finally have their revenge against Real Madrid after a long term target of the Whites has opted to sign for the Blaugrana instead, according to Don Balon.

The player that has snubbed Zinedine Zidane for Quique Setien is the Nigerian international, Samuel Chukwueze. The Villareal man has drawn comparisons to former Bayern Munich man Arjen Robben, both the right-wingers share the same style of play of cutting in from the wing and belting a curler in the top the corner, a trademark goal that Robben had popularized.
The African player chose to opt for the Blaugrana instead as one of his motivational factors apart from the better contract and squad role was Emmanuel Amunike, a former Nigerian footballer who signed for Barcelona in 1996 and stayed on till 2000.
Although the Nigerian does not have statistics that define the quality he possesses, however, despite playing for Villarreal, Samuel Chukwueze has managed to score 3 goals and 1 assist in the 13 games the player has started.
The 20-year-old has the speed and the skills to tear down the opposition defence and has the ability to set teammates up as well due to his daunting runs into the opposition box, however, the right-winger deserves a better team for him to showcase his true potential.
Barcelona seems to be the right club for the player since they can no longer rely on the injury-prone, Ousmane Dembele. Samuel Chukwueze would be a better option for Quique Setien to have on his bench rather than the inconsistent and injury-prone French forward, the Villareal man can also replace Lionel Messi for certain matches to save up the captain’s energy for the important matches in the tiring long season.
The player is valued at just 30 million euros and it would not be a financial burden for Barcelona to sign the player either.
However, it all depends on Josep Maria Bartomeu and his team of directors at the end.
