Barcelona have been asked to sign one of Chelsea’s latest signings who they value at a steep price of 80 million euros to fend off interest.
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has confirmed that his contract talks have been stagnated, at least temporarily. The Germany international is looking for a significant increase in his wages but the lack of funds in hand at the Camp Nou have resulted in him considering a departure, and all the more so after falling out with Lionel Messi.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been among the few Barca players who are not happy with the Argentina international and his constant involvement in matters, thereby raising an alarm which has now led to talks of his exit. The former Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper may be on the move now and the Blaugrana need to bring in a replacement for him.
Don Balon claims that the Barca captain has recommended his club to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Spain international has been one of the best players in the world in his position but his move to west London has not helped Kepa realise his full potential and as a result, he could seek a move abroad.
Chelsea are one of the sides eyeing a move for ter Stegen besides Bayern Munich and Juventus, so a swap deal involving the Spaniard could be on the cards since there’s no way he will spend his career on the Stamford Bridge’s bench. Having said that, the Blues value their number one at 80 million euros.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is probably not worth 80 million euros if one sees his performances in the Premier League of late. While he certainly has the potential to become the world’s best, the 72 million euros which the 5-time Premier League champions spent on him two years ago do not make sense and the 25-year-old is to justify that price tag just yet.
For a club like Barcelona which is anyway struggling financially, spending 80 million on a goalie is absolutely nonsense and therefore, they must not listen to what Messi has in mind. Ajax Amsterdam’s Andre Onana proves to be a much better and experienced signing on the big stage and a more feasible option in terms of money too.
Who would you prefer to have at the Camp Nou between Kepa and Onana?
