Newcastle United is said to change the future of Premier Leauge with the arrival of Mohamed bin Salman, especially with Barcelona preparing a deal as the transfer window approaches.

The Premier League side will soon be the new rich club in Europe as they are reportedly expecting to have a whopping 300 million euro transfer budget this summer, with all eyes on Barcelona players.

More from Everything Barca

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has not only affected the finances of clubs around the world but also hit the economic values of the individual players. The next transfer window will witness ‘player exchange’ deals as the mode of payment as clubs struggle to bring cash to the table.

Newcastle United, however, are looking at a massive overhaul with plans of taking advantage of the current market with the help of Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund to construct a super team in England.

The report states that the Magpies are planning a raid on Barca with intentions of singing a number of players from the Catalan side. Philippe Coutinho is said to be the first mega signing on the list. The Brazilian has struggled in La Liga ever since his arrival from Liverpool with the Spanish side now struggling to make a sale for the once highly valued midfielder. Coutinho has publically stated his desire to return to the Premier League but his transfer fee is pushing all suitors away.

Newcastle, however, are prepared to sign the Brazilian but are insisting that the 85 million euro asking price be re-evaluated. They are also looking to offer a huge amount for Arturo Vidal as they aim to sign both the players together.

Paris Saint-Germain‘s right back, Thomas Meunier, is also among the list of players to sign this summer with coach Mauricio Pochettino being named as the one to lead the squad. Maximiliano Allegri and Rafa Benitez are also strong coaches capable of leading this super team.

The Sun reported that Pochettino is adamant about signing Coutinho as the first massive transfer if he does become the manager. Barca might have finally found the solution to the former Liverpool star as they continue to look for buyers.

Antoine Griezmann is another player that has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp after struggling to live up to his Atletico Madrid days. Newcastle could even make an official bid for the Frenchman that might persuade the Spanish side to make a sale.

Is this the Silver lining Barca needed with Philippe Coutinho?
