Lionel Messi has persuaded Quique Setien to make Neymar and Lautaro Martinez Barcelona’s primary transfer targets in the upcoming transfer window.

More from Everything Barca

Barcelona have been trying to raise adequate funds for the transfer of the offensive duo by listing players like Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti, Philippe Coutinho and Junior Firpo on the upcoming transfer market.

Despite all these efforts Neymar has lost his patience with the Spanish giants and has started looking at other alternative transfer options away from Paris. Clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have shown interest in signing the Brazilian superstar.

According to the Don Balon, Neymar’s father has proposed that the seniors in Paris try and include Neymar in a swap deal for Paulo Dybala from Juventus. The board of directors is yet to respond to this suggestion but many believe the board might go ahead with this proposal considering the fact the club are eager to bring Dybala to Paris.

The Brazilian playmaker who once fixated on Barca won’t mind this transfer move as he will get the opportunity to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo who has been a great inspiration in his life while he was growing up. Furthermore, the Brazil international might be tempted by the fact that he could gain the opportunity to play football in another great league after experiencing life in the Brazilian, Spanish and French leagues.

The Blaugrana mustn’t let the superstar join another club as this will destroy Messi’s desire to renew for the club. Moreover, the Catalans will lose out on the opportunity to reunite the MSN forever bearing in mind the fact that Luis Suarez is 33 and is nearing the end of his career.

The Spanish giants should try and include world-class players such as Antoine Griezmann and Ansu Fati in their transfer negotiations to convince the Parisians to bring down their asking price for Neymar’s transfer.
