Inter Milan are nearing the signing of Barcelona midfielder, Arturo Vidal, as they await the Chilean international’s salary agreement.

Vidal is on the verge of securing his future in Serie A with Inter Milan. Barcelona are keen on signing Lautaro Martinez and are using the Chilean’s sale to reduce the Argentine’s transfer fee.

Mundo Deportivo via La Cuarta reports that the two sides are closing in on an agreement pending the midfielder’s salary negotiation. The source assures that the Italian side have secured the Chile international.

His salary is yet to be negotiated as it is believed that the player has high demands considering his salary at Bayern Munich was a yearly 13 million euro. Inter would have to make him their highest-paid footballer if they offer him a value equal to their current top earner Romelu Lukaku at 12 million.

Inter boss Antonio Conte, is eager to sign the midfielder having spoken to him multiple times over calls to reach an agreement. The reports surrounding his departure are stating that it is a done deal with only the salary aspect remaining to be closed, for an official agreement.

The 32-year-old is using this opportunity to gain the best possible contract as he is aware that this transfer may, in fact, be his final one as he nears his retirement. Personally, the former Bayern player wants to sign a two to three season-long contract as he wishes to spend many more years as a player.

Is this a sign that a Lautaro deal is underway?
