Multiple players involved in Barcelona’s Pjanic swap deal
Barcelona and Juventus are involved in an extensive swap deal for this summer transfer window with multiple stars linked with trade.
Miralem Pjanic has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer with talks of a potential swap deal between the Bosnian international and either Ivan Rakitic or Arthur Melo.

The Italian side are insisting that Brazilian international, Arthur, be included in the deal but the Catalan giants are reluctant of letting their future star go and have instead offered Rakitic instead. The Croatian international, however, is not willing to agree to the move as he wants to complete his existing contract that expires in 2021.
Sport claims that reports in Italy hint to a possibility of another player added to the deal. Barca have struggled to find the perfect right-back ever since the departure of Dani Alves in 2016. Both, Nelson Semedo and Sergi Roberto have shared their minutes to feature in the right flank for Blaugrana.
Semedo is reportedly being favored to be used to raise funds this summer with multiple clubs enquiring about the Portuguese’s availability. Meanwhile, Roberto is likely to stay but would be used as a backup center midfielder instead as it is his natural position.
The report claims that the two sides are looking into the option of including Juve right-back Mattia de Sciglio in the Pjanic deal. The 27-year-old is prepared to move to Camp Nou and take on the challenge. In exchange, the Spanish giants may have to let Jean Clair Todibo travel the other direction as Juventus have shown interest in the youngster. The French international is worth around 25 million euros and Barca already have many buyers for the youngster.
Barca fans would be excited if Matthijs de Ligt was included, however, the Dutch international is not prepared to leave Italy just yet with his enormous salary also being an issue for the Catalans. This might change in the near future with the 20-year-old struggling to make his mark with Juventus.
The two sides are busy studying every possible option for the trade with multiple players like Cristian Romero, De Sciglio, Daniele Rugani, Jean-Clair Todibo, Arthur Melo and Ivan Rakitic as the potential candidates.
