Barcelona have been heavily linked with a new striker signing this summer transfer window with Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez named the undisputed favorite.

More from Everything Barca

The Catalan giants have reportedly been handed a massive boost as Inter Milan have already found his replacement in France. A recent report suggested that it was Barca or nothing for Lautaro and it seems that the Italian side are finally giving in.

Many speculated that the Spanish side will be unable to sign the Argentine as his transfer fee will be too high for Barca to match. The COVID-19 pandemic has made matters worse as the club continues to struggle financially.

Despite this, Blaugrana were optimistic about signing the 22-year-old as they held on to the deal by offering multiple players in exchange like Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal, Nelson Semedo, and more.

Italian paper, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter are expecting to lose a couple of forwards this summer with Lautaro Martinez linked with a move, along with Alexis Sanchez‘s loan spell from Manchester United coming to an end.

Nerazzurri manager, Antonio Conte, is looking to sign multiple attacking reinforcements this summer with Napoli striker, Dries Mertens, being named as the key target. His relationship with Romelu Lukaku is said to help Inter to secure the 33-year-old. The report suggests that the striker wants a two-year contract with a salary of 5 million euros a season.

Another striker that has been named is Paris Saint-Germain striker, Edinson Cavani. Both these strikers share a common attribute: their contract expires this summer, and they will be available to sign for free at the end of this season.
