Bayern Munich offer Barcelona an irresistible swap deal
Barcelona and Bayern Munich are in talks over a stunning swap deal going forward and it may be an appealing prospect for this summer.
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen confirmed recently that his talks with the club over a contract renewal had been stagnated temporarily. The German shot-stopper has been one of the world’s best goalkeepers and Barca’s saviour since the last few seasons but has been left feeling mistreated and undervalued by the club.

Lionel Messi and the first-choice Barcelona keeper don’t share the best of relationships and it was lately reported that the duo had fallen apart. The goalie raised his concerns against the Argentina international having a virtual dictatorship at the club and stated that other players were given a lack of voice, leading to such a case.
Don Balon has reported that Bayern Munich are willing to sanction a move for the Germany international in the summer and in order to land ter Stegen into the Allianz Arena, they are ready to exchange Manuel Neuer. The ex-Borussia Monchengladbach player is valued at 100 million euros and it’s believed that Neuer’s inclusion in a deal could significantly reduce the asking price tagged on ter Stegen by the Blaugrana.
With that said, such a deal looks extremely enticing considering that perhaps the world’s best goalkeeper of the last decade would be checking into the Camp Nou in addition to 60 million euros in receipt. However, the last thing Barca should do is add another aged player to their squad, the German number one in this instance as he is already 34.
Moreover, the Catalans should sign someone young like Kepa Arrizabalaga, Andre Onana or Unai Simon for a reasonable amount if ter Stegen is to leave for 100 million euros. This money could come handy in bringing about financial stability to the club as well as help Barcelona’s cause of signing a couple of defenders, midfielders and forwards.
Do you think a swap deal between two of Germany’s best goalkeepers would benefit Barca?
