Neymar’s agent while on an interview with Fox Sports gave his verdict on whether his client will move to Barcelona or not.

The Bundesliga resumed on the 16th of May and other leagues such as La Liga and the Premier League have now permitted the clubs to presume with their training sessions, however, Ligue 1 decided to suspend the league a few weeks ago and Paris Saint-Germain was crowned champions of France. Neymar collected his third Ligue 1 medal and given the current rumours it seemed like it would be the last French title the Brazilian has won as he would move to Barcelona in the summer market.

However, the former Barca winger’s agent was recently on an interview with Fox Sports where he discussed the uncertain future that lies ahead for the Brazilian forward, according to El Desmarque. His representative Wagner Ribeiro stated that the uncertainty regarding the future of the three-time Ligue 1 winner will continue as the pandemic has adversely affected the financial position of several clubs around the world.

Paris Saint-Germain had signed Neymar for 222 million euros in the summer of 2017-18 and the board at the Parisian based club would not let their player walkout for anything less than the investment they made to procure his services. Barcelona was willing to go all out to sign their former winger this summer even though Paris Saint-Germain was not willing to reduce their price.

Josep Maria Bartomeu received his fair share of criticism from the media and the internal members of the club after six board members had resigned from their respective decisions and conveyed their decision on a joint letter that stated the false denial of hiring hackers to defame the club.

The president was well aware that his role at the club was under scrutiny and the signing of Neymar could possibly calm the situation at the club since several members would be pleased with the signing, especially, Lionel Messi who has spoken about the return of his friend several times in public.

Although the current La Liga leaders continue their optimistic operation of signing the Brazilian forward,  Wagner Ribeiro believes that his client will continue in Paris till his contract runs out since the pandemic has vastly impacted the transfer plans for several clubs.

With Neymar seeming to more unfeasible should Barca focus on signing Mikel Oyarzabal instead? A cheaper alternative to the Brazilian?
