Miralem Pjanic isn’t considering any other options besides Barcelona and has made that quite clear.

With no deal yet in place between Barcelona and Juventus for Miralem Pjanic, it is only natural that other teams are also said to be interested with one of those being Paris Saint-Germain.

But, much to the delight of Catalan ears, the Bosnian midfielder maintains that the only move he is interested is in to the Camp Nou.

More from Everything Barca

According to Mundo Deportivo, Pjanic has informed PSG sporting director Leonardo Araujo that he does not want to join PSG and only wants a move to Barcelona.

His rejection comes despite the fact that PSG are willing to give him a better contract than Barcelona along with considerable incentives. An offer that would attract almost any player.

But he wants to go to Barcelona as he believes their brand of football meshes with the type of players he is. Playing alongside Lionel Messi is also an added bonus. With the permission of Juventus, the club have kept in contact with Pjanic letting him know that they are still interested in him.

He and Lautaro Martinez have quickly turned into their two top priorities heading in the summer. Finding the right mix of money and players is the only hold up in getting these moves across the line.

Perhaps more than money, finding a player that Juventus would take is proving more difficult than they imagines. Ivan Rakitic was one name put to the Italian giants but they are not interested.

However, they are interested in Arthur Melo but that appears to be a non-starter. The Brazilian midfielder is also being sought by Inter Milan and would like him to be included in a potential deal for Lautaro Martinez but they’re unwilling to include him in any deal and he is not looking to leave either.

The only drawback with Pjanic is his age. He is 30 and unless they can find suitors for Rakitic and Arturo Vidal, the squad is only going to get older and with plenty of veterans, they need to be focusing on going younger.

The club and Pjanic have come to personal agreements where he would be earning more or less what is making at Juventus. There’s plenty of time to come to an agreement with his current club but it’s best not to draw these things out. Especially with Barça wanting to sell quite a handful of players.
