Barcelona’s management have been heavily linked with transfer moves with several central defenders such as Dayot Upamecano, Kalidou Koulibaly and Milan Skriniar who could strengthen the backline of the Camp Nou by playing alongside Clement Lenglet and Gerard Pique in the upcoming season.
According to the Metro, the Spanish giants and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in signing Manchester United’s full-back Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese defender signed for the Red Devils in 2018 from FC Porto but has not been able to solidify his spot in the staring eleven due to a series of injuries which has put him on the sideline for the majority of the games over the last two seasons.
Despite all the interest shown from the European clubs Ole Gunnar Solskjare has hinted that he is keen to keep the 21-year-old defender in his squad. This is because the young defender has shown signs of becoming one of the most versatile full-backs in the world of football who can effectively perform on both the flanks of the pitch.
The La Liga giants should try and sign Dalot in the upcoming transfer window to add an additional layer of defensive support in their squad by easing the pressure of Nelson Semedo and Jordi Alba in the upcoming seasons.
The Portuguese defender has an estimated market value of around 20 million euros which makes him affordable to Barcelona as they have a limited transfer budget due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Quique Setien could try and include players such as Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal in their transfer negations with the Red Devils to sign the young Portuguese international at a cheaper rate.
Do you think Barca should sign Diogo Dalot in the upcoming transfer window?
