Juventus aids Barcelona to gain Lautaro to improve their Serie A dominance.

Barcelona have targetted Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez for a while now with Juventus looking to aid the Catalans, to improve their dominance in Serie A.

Juventus captain, Giorgio Chiellini recently caused some controversy after stating his hatred for arch Serie A rivals, Inter Milan, in his autobiography titled “Io, Giorgio”. The defender explained his emotion through the recent Netflix miniseries “The Last Dance” portraying Micheal Jordan’s NBA career with Chicago Bulls. In the series, Jordan states that he felt hatred towards Bull’s great rival the Detroit Piston lasts to this day.

"“I think people understand what I mean and I don’t wish to be misinterpreted, I hate Inter in a sporting way just as Michael Jordan hates the Pistons,” Chiellini said.Source La Repubblica (Goal)"

The center back further explains that he hates the team during their clashes but once the battle is over, he can always meet up with the rival players and have a good time.

"“I can’t help but hate Inter, but 99.9 per cent of the time that I met up with players off the field after we tore each other to shreds on it, we could have a good laugh. Sporting hatred is what pushes you on to beat a rival and, if given the right meaning, is an essential component of sport.” He continued."

There is no surprise that there is a sense of hostility between the two Italian giants in a similar fashion to Spain’s Barca and Real Madrid. Juventus are reportedly willing to lend a hand to Barca if that helps stop Inter Milan’s success in the future.

Juve wants to continue their dominance over Serie A after already winning the championship 8 consecutive times with only A.C. Milan managing to win the 2010–11 campaign. Lautaro Martinez along with Romelu Lukaku has significantly improved the Nerazzurri this season and his transfer to the Catalan giants will surely limit Inter’s chances of competing for Juventus’s Serie A title.

Due to the current market being heavily affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Spanish giants have to be creative to secure the star striker. Barca are planning to make a deal with Premier League side, Manchester City, for Joao Cancelo in exchange for Nelson Semedo. Inter are reportedly interested in bringing Cancelo back to San Siro but the deal will result in Barca lacking a proper right-back of their own.

Juventus are ready to come in with the solution by providing Mattia de Sciglio and Miralem Pjanic in exchange for star midfielder, Arthur Melo. The deal will not only weaken their rivals but also gain them a promising midfielder for years to come. The report further stated that a close source confirmed Juve’s fear of Inter as a potential title contender.

"“Inter are the closest competitors to Juve. They have the most money, the most ambitious, the most stability and the best organization. There’s no doubt that, in the past year, Inter have improved a lot and are getting closer to Juventus, thanks to the arrivals of Marotta, Conte, and great players like Lukaku. So, are Juve now afraid of Inter? Yes, absolutely. It’s only normal, then, that Juve would try to hurt Inter in the transfer market whatever way they can.”"

Should Barca agree to sell Arthur in order to gain Lautaro Martinez?
