Real Madrid may edge Barcelona to a major transfer this summer.

Barcelona’s pursuit of Neymar is more likely than not to strike a dead-end. Paris Saint-Germain have reduced the Brazil international’s evaluation to 165 million euros, but even that much of a price seems to be beyond the Catalans. Moreover, they are in greater favour of signing a striker, Lautaro Martinez and Timo Werner being idealistic targets.

While Neymar’s signing is more like a fantasy, the fact that they need a winger is no secret. The Blaugrana employ Lionel Messi on the right and there needs to be no mention of how incredibly good the Argentina international has been, but on the left, everyone including Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann have failed.

According to Don Balon, Borussia Dortmund ace Jadon Sancho has been shortlisted as a potential arrival by the La Liga outlet. The Englishman is looking to leave the Signal Iduna Park this summer and has garnered interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid, whereas even Liverpool are hovering above him from a distance.

However, it seems that the player has made a decision to depart Germany to head for Spain’s capital instead of Catalonia and his price tag of 130 million euros seems to have enticed Real Madrid. Additionally, the winger believes that he has a brighter future at the Bernabeu where the development of youngsters is a major club objective.

If the Whites are ready to spend on him is unclear since they’re eyeing Kylian Mbappe in the next summer and therefore, all signs point towards Barca having an edge regardless even though their monetary prowess could be tight. With that said, Sancho would be a sensational signing at the Camp Nou.

Jadon Sancho is the only player besides Eden Hazard and Lionel Messi to score over ten goals and assist in double digits each year, and such are the numbers which the Spanish champions must be looking at. Besides that, even if they need to pay 130 million euros, they would be doing so for a disciplined player and one who will be the world’s best very soon.
