Ousmane Dembele has failed to shine in Barcelona ever since he arrived in 2017.

More from Everything Barca

Barcelona have decided to sell Ousmane Dembele in the upcoming transfer window as they are disappointed with the way he has performed ever since he signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 as he has only been able to score 19 goals in 74 appearances  across all competitions.

The Frenchman has an estimated market value of around 60 million euros despite being able to play in just 5 league games this season due to a hamstring injury.

Several clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United and PSG have shown interest in signing the young playmaker. However as of now none of the teams have submitted a transfer offer till now.

According to the Forbes , Juventus have shown interest to sign Ousmane Dembele alongside Arthur Melo from the Spanish giants in the upcoming transfer window. The Frenchman will help remove the pressure from Juan Cuadrado who has been overused this season and could potentially also act as a long term replacement for Douglas Costa who is entering his 30’s.

Many experts believe that the 2018-2019 Serie A champions are more inclined to opt for a loan deal with a buy-out clause in order to test the young Frenchman with the ability to buy him at a cheaper rate in the subsequent seasons.

The Camp Nou possesses sufficient attacking minded players such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Antoine Griezmann and Ansu Fati. These players have been able to provide the club with exceptional performances and are most likely to keep Dembele on the bench in the upcoming seasons.

Barcelona could use the money from the Frenchman’s transfer to sign a world-class replacement for Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic who are set to leave the club in the upcoming transfer window.
